hawkline.app

A changedetection.io alternative that reads the diff for you

changedetection.io is excellent software: open source, self-hostable, endlessly configurable. If you enjoy running your own stack and writing CSS selectors to trim the noise, it's a genuinely good choice, and this page isn't going to pretend otherwise.

Hawkline sits at a different point on the curve: hosted, zero configuration, and the diff arrives pre-read. When a watched page changes, an AI compares before and after and writes a two-sentence summary of what actually changed. When the change is cosmetic (timestamps, banners, session tokens), it sends nothing at all.

HAWKLINE → #compliance · example alertMAS Notice 626: change detected
A revised Notice 626 (AML/CFT for banks) was published, dated 15 Sep. Section 6 screening frequency changed from "periodic" to "at least every 6 months". Consultation deadline added: 31 Oct.

Where each tool fits

Honest limitations

Hawkline is not self-hostable and doesn't do visual/pixel comparison, JavaScript-rendered pages beyond what plain fetching returns, or sub-15-minute checks. Summaries are AI-written and link the source: verify before you act on them.
